It works in production, so every change needs proof first.
Most of the engineering in Nova goes into requests that should not do what they appear to ask. Every write is gated, and that's deliberate.
You approve every write
A command-box plan always stops for approval before anything changes. No path turns a document or a sentence into org metadata without someone clicking Approve.
Checked before deploy, verified after
Before you approve, the org has already validated the change in a dry run. After deploy, Nova reads it back. If it doesn't match, Nova rolls it back and retries.
Every change can be undone
Deploys come with a rollback plan. The Deployment Center keeps the history, so you can see what changed and restore it.
Full audit trail
Every action in every org, timestamped. The audit trail and Org Brain's activity timeline use the same data.
Automatic risk rating
Deleting "all" of something, or mentioning production, is rated critical automatically. The org-type matrix controls what can ship to Developer, Sandbox and Production.
Org limits respected
Governor and platform limits are monitored, and Org Scanner flags risks before a change makes them worse.
What happens to what you type and what Nova reads.
Secrets are removed on input
API keys, tokens and key= pairs are removed before a command is stored or sent to a model. Real secrets go in an encrypted vault.
Not used for training
Org Brain retrieves and remembers for your org only, inside your workspace. Nothing trains a model on your data.
Workspace access
Shared chats and plans only reach members of your workspace, with no public links. Colleagues keep their own org access. Every integration endpoint checks workspace membership.
Private by default
When a BRD proposes objects holding personal data, they start with private sharing, not org-wide read/write.
No calls to internal networks
Outbound integrations can't reach internal or private network addresses. Incoming webhooks have their signatures checked before anything runs.
Cost guards
Page limits, file-size limits and a kill switch run before any AI cost, and a re-uploaded file reuses the first session.
Requests that shouldn't do what they seem to ask.
These are tested on every build.
| You type | What a naive tool does | What Nova does |
|---|---|---|
| How do I delete a field? | Plans a deletion | Answers the question |
| Show me recent deployments | Starts a deploy | Lists them. "Deployments" isn't "deploy" |
| Who has modify all data? | Plans an update | Runs a security read |
| Connect Stripe with key sk_live_… | Saves the key in the transcript | Removes it before storage |
| Delete all custom fields on Lead | Runs it | Rates it critical and waits for you |
Agent approvals are something you switch on
The command-box plan always waits for you. The agent is different: it can also require your approval before production changes, external tools, or following instructions it found in data it read. That approval is controlled by a workspace setting. Ask us to enable it for your workspace.
